North End Access
A.G. Consulting's Principal performed electrical design services for 4 new accesses to GCT. Two were located on 45th Street and two on 47th/48th Streets. In addition, there were two cross passage ways (one below 45th Street and the other below 47th Street) between upper and lower tracks. 14 new elevators and three new escalators were also included in the design. The electrical work included outdoor/indoor lighting, power, telephone system, public address, fire alarm, security, data and signal systems. The whole length of the platform J (East Spine) and Platform O (West Spine) were provided with new lighting, outlets and low voltage systems. The power was derived from three 5kV/480volt substations.

Station Master’s Office Renovation
Renovation of the existing Station Master’s Office/Control Room to provide new lighting, power, telecommunication, public address, visual information, fire alarm, signaling, and security systems. Tying the new systems into the existing systems without disrupting operation was challenging. This required coordination with the operating personnel & thorough knowledge of the existing facilities.
