SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Bachelor's Degree from US school with 10 or more years experience with NYC engineering firms designing electrical systems for commercial/residential/educational/transit/institutional/hospital facilities. Electrical systems include, but not limited to, lighting, power, emergency generating system, UPS, fire alarm, security system, telecommunication system, public address system and all other low voltage power systems. Experience with medium and high voltage will be preferred. Candidate shall have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry; possess strong oral and written communication skills and can work with CAD. Position requires good leadership and motivational skills, solid technical background, good organizational skills, attention to detail, quality control, client interaction and representation.
• It’s a senior level position. Ability to design independently is required.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, New York State Energy Code is paramount
• Ability to solve problems with new and innovative solutions.
• Provide planning, staffing, scheduling, and budget management on projects
• In depth knowledge of general building construction and HVAC controls is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and design builders to discuss future and or current projects.
• Computer literacy and experience in short circuit and coordination study software is preferred.
