SENIOR PLUMBING ENGINEER

Candidate shall have 10 or more years experience with NYC engineering firms designing plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial/residential/educational/transit/institutional/hospital facilities. Candidate shall have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry; possess strong oral and written communication skills and can work with CAD. Position requires good leadership and motivational skills, solid technical background, good organizational skills, attention to detail, quality control, client interaction and representation. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• It’s a senior level position. Ability to design independently is required.
• In depth knowledge of plumbing and fire protection is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and design builders to discuss future and or current projects.
• Computer literacy and experience in sprinkler design software in essential for this position.
• Experienced with DEP approvals: preparation of application forms and getting approval from NYC DEP for water/sanitary/storm connections, RPZ, SD-1/SD-2 required.
